Tuesday and an unexpected post from me ..

Morning all,

I know, I know, I'm not DELIBERATELY trying to confuse you by posting today but .. yesterday was a funny old day and I treated myself to some crafting that I didn't get to share because I was at a funeral so .....

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 300gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • White card panels and one red, cut to fit using MFT stitched rectangle dies
  • Rob Scotton (for Stamps Happen) image stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour image
  • Hero Arts sentiment (from CL343) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Stardust stickles and gold sparkle to bling up the image

I'll be entering this for the following challenges:-
  1. AAA Cards - challenge No. 105 - SPARKLE
  2. Addicted to Stamps - challenge No. 159 - SEASONS GREETINGS

  4. Addicted to CAS - challenge No. 126 - SPARKLE
  5. CAS on Friday - challenge No. 122 - CHRISTMAS

And a Christmas card I wanted to share with you ..... the image panel was made by my five year old surrogate grandson - I made his work in to a card for him to give to his mum and dad! He stamped and coloured the image all by himself, using Memento tuxedo black ink, Stamping Impressions "Carolling snowmen" and a combination of Crayola pencils and Berol Verithik metallics .... the sentiment (added later) is from the Warm Holiday Wishes from Inkadinkado and I just matted it on to red card and then to a C6 card blank - didn't he do well?

Woo Hoo! I found out yesterday that I was chosen as a TOP 3 favourite over at Addicted to CAS, for their "SWEETS" challenge (I used a Quality Street wrapper as Rudolph's bow tie!) - thanks so much peeps

And, finally, after needing a few sympathy cards recently, I felt it might be a good idea to make some in readiness for next time - always so much easier than making them because you need one, don't you find?

Morning and welcome to the start of another week ....

Morning readers,

It's going to be a funny old day today; I'm catching up with a pal this morning at a coffee shop, we'll chat and put the world to right but then, we will be heading off to a funeral. Wish us luck, this is the mum of one of our oldest friends, someone we grew up knowing and will miss tremendously.

I thought about not posting a make today but .......I still had some card fronts from my retreat in November! I eventually decided that I would, but I shan't be entering my make for any challenges.

Thanks for looking peeps

It's Saturday .....

Hi there readers,

Been a busy week, as they all are in the run up to Christmas. I've been wrapping presents, putting up decorations, trying to juggle my diary to see everyone, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but I do at least have a meal with my cousin and a pal booked for January; definitely something to look forward to in the post Christmas "lull". Had a nice lunch with friends yesterday ... main course a little disappointing but the dessert was TO DIE FOR!, friends we don't catch up with anywhere near as often as we should but .. busy lives and all that. It almost seemed like it might not happen though, as we woke up to white roads and snow coming down but ... thankfully, it stopped a little after 9am and the sun came out!

You know me though, I can almost always find time to craft! Been stuck in a bit of a Christmas or Birthday card rut (I blame new stash and, well ... Christmas, for that) so thought I'd try for an anniversary card ready for the start of 2018!

Friday! Woo Hoo - it's almost the weekend!

Morning readers,

Good week? Have the festivities started with you?

Got a card to share with you today .... no idea why but .. it's a Christmas card!! No, literally, no idea as I've not only made all mine but I've written them all too (sorry if that sounds smug but it's by way of explanation) - guess I'm working on 2018 then! I didn't like this card when I'd stamped it and it sat on the unit for the best part of a week. A fellow MFT enthusiast came to call and remarked that she liked it so, I gave it a chance and coloured it - MUCH HAPPIER now it's been coloured, what do you think? I can't even tell you what it was that I didn't like about it, after all, the bears are super cute and the tree is pretty and it (surely) can't have been the sentiment but ....

When I saw the Malle Room's challenge was for a masculine Christmas card this just image called me to the ToC as it had previously been NBUS .... Darnell would be so proud of me!
